Anti-Drone Technology Updat

The rapid development of drone technology is driving innovations in counter-drone systems, such as the anti drone system and Custom Drone Jammer. To address emerging threats like drones and intelligent swarms, the second Air Force “Anti-Drone Pioneer-2025” Innovation Contest was recently held in Xi’an, Shaanxi, guided by the Air Force Equipment Department and co-organized by the Air Force Engineering University and China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation. A total of 109 teams from military and civilian research institutions gathered to exchange new concepts, including those related to the Modular CUAS System and UAS Jamming Module.

The event featured an intelligent algorithm competition and an innovation achievement selection. In the algorithm segment, focuses included drone countermeasure concepts, intelligent identification, and swarm confrontation. The innovation segment offered immersive experiences with technologies like the Customizable Counter-Drone and Integrated Drone Defense. At the “drone-vs-drone” test site, venues were set up for competitions on swarm countermeasures and dynamic engagements, where teams used real-time data to calibrate equipment. Forward-thinking approaches, such as those involving the RF Jamming Module, are vital for enhancing anti-drone systems.

On the training ground, soldiers practiced with new integrated missile-artillery systems for terminal air defense. These systems can serve as a last line of defense or part of a network. Interceptor drones are emerging as a cost-effective solution for future anti-drone operations, aligning with trends in OEM Drone Jammer development. The challenge of high-cost missiles against low-cost drones was addressed through methods like electronic suppression and high-energy lasers, which are key to Drone Mitigation Kit strategies.
